nib Group announces NZ Chief Executive, Rob Hennin, to step down 

nib Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Ed Close, has announced Rob Hennin, Chief Executive Officer of nib New Zealand and nib Travel, will step down.

Mr Hennin joined nib as the Chief Executive of the New Zealand business in 2013. In 2023, he was appointed CEO of nib’s international travel insurance division.

A recruitment process is underway. Mr Hennin will remain Chief Executive, nib NZ, while that process is ongoing, and to ensure a smooth transition.   

“We thank Rob for his contribution to nib’s business, and its many successes, over 12 years,” Mr Close said. “Rob has been a strong leader, an innovator in the New Zealand market, and we wish him well in his future endeavours.” 

nib Group’s Executive of Strategy and Development, Matt Neat, will assume Executive responsibility for nib Travel, from 1 May 2025.
